Samantha Qyyum

Diversity. Who knows more about diversity than someone who was born in Miami with a mother from Colombia and a father from Bangladesh. My name is Samantha Qyyum and culture has been engrained in me since the day I was born, experiencing traditions of both extremes. While majoring in International Relations at Florida International University, I have been exposed to several subjects which have sparked my interest in other areas. This resulted in two minors, one in Political Science and another in Asian Studies, as well as two certificates in Environmental Studies and South East Asian studies. I hope to apply the experience of different leadership roles and the diverse classes I have attended at FIU in my future endeavors of helping others.
